What Vocamente collects

When you join early access, unlock a level-test result or use AI Practice, we may collect the name and email address you submit, your Spanish-learning profile, selected learning preferences, practice progress, saved correction patterns, subscription status and a random device identifier used to apply free-trial and usage limits.

AI practice data

When you use the AI tutor, the text you send, relevant recent conversation context, your learning profile and selected saved corrections are sent through Vocamente's Cloudflare Worker to the OpenAI API so a tutoring response can be generated. If you use Plus voice practice, recordings are sent for speech-to-text transcription and tutor text may be sent for AI speech generation. The OpenAI API key remains on the server and is not included in browser code.

Practice storage

Vocamente stores a local copy of practice data in your browser for responsiveness and also stores account/usage information and selected learning progress in a Cloudflare D1 database. This prevents the 10-message free allowance from being reset simply by clearing browser storage and allows the product to preserve progress for linked profiles.

Payments

Vocamente Plus is processed by Stripe. Vocamente receives identifiers and subscription/payment status needed to provide or revoke access, but card details are collected and handled by Stripe rather than stored in Vocamente's application database.

Third-party services

Vocamente uses Brevo for email registrations, Cloudflare for website hosting, server-side processing and database storage, OpenAI for AI tutoring/transcription/generated speech, and Stripe for recurring subscription payments and billing management. Each provider processes data under its own terms and privacy commitments.

Purpose

We use submitted information to provide and personalize language-learning services, enforce free and paid usage limits, maintain learning progress, manage subscriptions, deliver requested communications, prevent abuse and improve the Vocamente product.

Your choices

You can stop using AI Practice at any time, remove local browser data, manage or cancel an active Plus subscription through the billing portal, and unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those messages. Commercial-launch note

This notice describes the current Vocamente pilot architecture and is not a substitute for jurisdiction-specific legal review. Before a broad commercial launch, Vocamente should complete a formal review covering its legal entity/controller details, lawful bases, retention periods, processor agreements, international transfers, cookies/analytics, consumer rights and account deletion/export workflows.
